Working on a Better You
Working on a better you. It is always hard to work on yourself to get you whipped back in shape spiritually, physically, and mentally. So, as we strive to be a better people, we must also strive to fix the broken inside ourselves.
We must always have our Gods, our Ancestors, and out Folk in mind. We must never get complacent. If we do, things will fall apart around us. We must be healthy in a physical way to be able to stay strong.
We are the chariot of the blood of all those who came before us. Be worthy.
Self-care is essential to the soul. In Ásatrú, we celebrate strength, beauty, and victory. This requires self-care. As women, we are predisposed to care for everyone around us. Our husbands, children, our friends, but we far too oftentimes overlook our own needs.
We are taught that this is selfishness. What a sad way to view this. We are given one chance to live this life; it is up to us to seize this life and live it in a way that brings glory to our ancestors and sets an example for our children. Both are watching.
